i got second place again to john shultz this weekend, he had 10 fish for 49 pounds, i had 10 fish for 45 1/2. he also won big fish it went 10 pounds. i did do some trolling and caught a few but i forgot to charge the trolling battery and it died on me, so it was back to still fishing.

Glad the bobbers worked out. If I had a 20 mile long extension cord, I'd charge your battery too!
Were you guys in the Miss or did you go up a branch? If this 1st and 2nd scenario keeps up, I'm going to have to come down there and whoop you both.

Could I ask what technique you used with the bobber method?? I have a lake here that I think that may work well in.

Hey, second place is nothing to sneeze at and remember there's always the next tourney! You'll get him next time.

i use bobbers or floats six inches up from my hooks when i troll or drift fish, this keeps the bait up off the bottom. the whole set up is sinker slide with a 1 oz sinker, barrel swivel, then a 32 inch leader, number 8/0 circle hook. place the float or bobber six inches up from the hook. hopes this helps you out.
