Been catching some real nice Channels, this one has either a birth defect, or injured in some way. Weird

    Seemed to be fine otherwise

Guess that goes to show how resilient they are, nice looking fish other than that. Did he grunt with a lisp?.....:smile2:

    Ouch!
Looks to me like he was left on a line too long and he got off, the hard way.

Looks like he got the bad end of a bad tail whip:smile2:. Just goes to show you how tough fish are.

I think Kyle has it right. This critter was on one of the clip-style stringers
when it was less than a pound and pulled itself off. Either that or the turtle
that grabbed him by the tail paused to get a better grip and the catfish
shot away bleeding profusely. That's a lucky fish! Put him back, didn't ya?

I caught a channel like that this year, couldnt even lip the thing, suprised I hooked it. Where I caught this fish there is no limblineing. So I dont know what was going on with that fish.

We tossed him back so he is back in Tuttle Creek to gum another bait:smile2: He was just over 9 pounds, so it probably not get any better.

I have not kept any fish since a couple batches in May, except a week before we caught Weirdo.

The gar are thick in Tuttle Creek, so they have been the culprit as well.

    Last pic of the Weirdo.

He is the one hanging on the scale, the other one is a good buddy I work with.
    (Just Kidding Joe)

The fish appeared to be slightly thinner than the others we caught that day.
