My son and I went fishing on the New this 4th of July. Spent 4 1/2 days down there. The water level was at normal summer flow and quite clear. We had fair luck came home with 10 channels best being around 10 lbs and a half dozen flatheads. I actually caught my smallest flathead ever, it was appx. 6" long, caught it on a 1/0 circle (I swear it was almost as big as it's head) that was lodged in his throat. My son wanted to keep it to show the wife so we cut the line off close and threw him in the minnow bucket. The next morning when my son looked in on him low and behold he had gotten that hook out on it's own.
It sure was a cute little bugger, a cpl pictures later and back into the New he went with best wish's.
