    Hello Everyone

Has anyone used weedless hooks and if so how did it work out?

Some of the ares I fish are impossible to drift with a convention hook. There is so much much to get hung on, you cannot go fifty feet drifting. I tried weedless hooks once. Nothing wanted to bite so I do not have a good test. I was using a bottom bouncer with a weedless hook. Does the wire that keeps the hook from getting hung hamper setting the hook on a fish?

    Thanks

no the wire wont make you miss fish, but sometimes the wire will come unsnapped from the hook when you cast it and it hits the water or you may hit something in the water and come undone and then hang up on something else.I dont find them that reliable but thats just my opinion.

I'm with James on this one,
I dont use weedless hooks. Even lure fishing I rig weedless as opposed to using the weedless hooks.

Honestly, they just dont work all that well... Most of the time you can rig bait weedless as well.. depending on what your using..
