Yes I know, I'm posting a quilt on a catfishing web site, but check this thing out. My Mother has quilted this BY HAND for our king size bed. literaly thousands of hours in this thing, can you imagine?? My Mom never fails to amaze me.

Awesome! Your Mother is very talented. This is something your family will cherish. I couldn't tell what is in the center. What pattern is that or did she free hand it?

    Thanks for sharing!

Its a K for Kilpatrick our last name. this is her own design that she sketched on to the fabric. and the followed it with the sewing machine. it's not done yet, and she has been working on it for almost a year. It goes on a king size bed so its huge, I could only photograph the center of it. Definatly family hierloom stuff.

she sure put a lot of hard work and talent in that .
she really has a passion for sewing and a lot of love for you
    to do that.
my grandmother used to quilt and did some really nice work
not anything like that maybe but ive seen the patchwork quilts
my aunts and her and her friends have worked on while socializeing
i was asked what design quilt i wanted and i said i just like bluejean material
    nothing fancy.
well she made me a very plain jane quilt with squares of bluejean and kaki
material from work clothes from my departed grandfather and uncle.
    still have it today .
in fact my oldest son has it in his room kind of took it over LOL
it brings back good memories when i see it.

It is indeed worthy of being hung on the wall as a piece of art but what could be better than sleeping under something your Mom has made? Mom's are just the best...W

Thanks for the kind words guys!!! Yea when it comes to stuff like this Mom's got it going on. I was expecting a patch work quilt, so I was surprised when this one came out of the box all one color. But I think I like it more then any patchwork quilt I've seen. And I've seen some pretty cool patch work, this pic is also My Moms work. last one I won't torture you any more, I'm out of pics.

Brad, that's a fine quilt your Mom has made. Like these guys have said, needs to be hung up for all to see. But it would be nice to sleep under also..... Thanks for showing us your Moms work. She is very talented.
