My buddy and i are going out for flathead next weekend but it looks like there will be scattered T-storms. Besides the annoyance of getting rained on at night, will this help the bite? I've usually planned my all nighters on nice calm nights but we're probably going to go either way this time. What should I expect if it's raining all night as far as the action goes?
    We'll be on the susky...

I have caught alot of my biggest fish on nights like that.It is hit or miss though like Lenny said. Just be sure to keep an eye on the river level while you are out there. It isan't so bad on the susky cause of how wide it is but on rivers like the skuke it can rise pretty quick. How bout it Lenny?

Yep , like Lenny said, you never really know when a flathead decides to bite.

You can get skunked when the conditions are so-called "prime" and catch the biggest fish of the year when the conditions are not ideal.

  5. I always though the approching front turned the bite on pretty good:roll_eyes:, but not 100 % of the time:confused2:.

Just wanted to add that we are losing 2 minutes of daylight every day right now:embarassed:, that's about 15 minutes a week:angry:.

I wonder if the fish will notice and start eating!:eek:oooh:

Do flatheads go by eastern standard time since flatheads are native to Mississippi and the 3 rivers:smile2::smile2:
