Grandma makes her own sweet pickles and my uncle took me out fishin when i was a young'un and he talked her out of some pickles. he told me you can catch some big fish on them on and if they ain't bitin they sure taste good too. i figured it was just a plot to get some pickles but he baited all 3 of his hooks with em. i used one pickle and shad sides on the other 2. he caught 4 fish, 2 small channels and a small blue and an 18 pound blue. i finally switched to all pickles and caught 2 channels. when we were done fishin my uncle couldn't convince me to eat a single slice of them pickles. they had a home in my tackle box for a awhile until the lid leaked and made one heck of a mess.

Sweet Pickles is a new one to me. Interesting. I've tried everything else, and will probably try the pickles before the year is out.:confused2:

I was using bread and butter pickles a couple years ago, I didn't have anything else. I also used pickled garlic but although I got a bite I didn't hook em. Pickles work good.
