Welcome to the BOC Larry, this is gonna open a can of worms probably. LMAO

I'll give it to ya in a nutshell bro, what I think anyway.

Some people say that WD-40 is just another attractant, but there are many others sold (attractants) that will work alot better.

Some say it does not work and is a big pollutant that is no good for the enviroment.

So, this is it in a nutshell bro, take it for what it is worth.

Ive always found wd40 to be a touchy subject to some people on these boards.. Dont plan on using it myself though.

I've said it once and I'll say it again. I don't know if WD-40 works and I don't care. I refuse to put it in the water.

WD 40 rep.told me it was illegal to put in the water and that it was covered under the Federal statute that called for up to a $25,000.00 fine and jail time.peewee-williams

I could see it working but why use it when it pollutes the water, well more than it already is, and a channel will be attracted to dang near anything. Heck I could probably put some of my deer attracktant on a ball of mud on my hook and still catch a channel.

Can't see putting more junk in the waters. Got enough allready.Have never used it and don't want to see anyone I fish with use it. X brother-in -law and I had a rather heated disscussion about using WD 40. I won the argument that time.

My Dad swore by it for ARTHRITIS, but when the word got out right, before he passed away, you almost had to have a prescription to buy it around here. ( no it was not why he passed away)

    NO JOKE.

Are we ready for HIGH intensity yet?

    LOL.

Y'all live and learn, one day.

    Take care.

I use it all the time on tools or reels when I break them down to clean & lub them. But I wouldn't never use it on bait. Not only can it get you big fines & jail time, but it could really piss off the other folk's fishing there & that wouldn't be a good thing.
