The vote by the TWRA commission to close Watts Barr to commercial fishing will be held in January. This is due to the contamination that had already been proven is in the fish. You go to the store or restaurant and eat catfish, and you do not even know where it comes from. Things like that are why we all need a good cancer plan. There are plenty of places where catfish have no restrictions or you can by farm raised. The issue is that no one needs to sale catfish out of Watts Barr. If you agree with closing it then please send the commission a letter or email. Their addresses are listed on the TWRA website and most have an email listed.
