I was at fort loudon for about 1.5 hours yesterday then moved to melton hill tail waters for a couple hours just sitting in the shade watching. Lots of people fishing but didn,t see a fish caught at either dam. saw what looked like skips jumping at melton hill.

Yep, last week the skips were jumping at Melton Hill tailwaters. I was down there Monday and Tuesday a week ago, and didn't see anything caught, either. Looks like the fish are hitting down there better in the evening, I was told. It's a 35 minute drive to M.H. Dam for me, if the fish aren't hitting, I have access to a pond nearby where I always catch something.

Thanks to all for the replies, I tried Ft. Loudon dam Wednesday afternoon with no luck. I tried Watts Bar dam Thursday & Friday & we only caught 1 skipjack. We caught a few good fish on shad at Watts bar over those few days fishing deep water both anchored & drifting. Thanks, Shannon
