Took my first trip down wateree river sat night, left out from US 1 in lugoff down several miles past interstate 20. Found where all the big shad are hanging out at. water was very low in spots even had to drag the boat over a few spots. found some deeper water and started fishing around 9:30 to 10. that night. wound up catching 6 blues and one flathead smallest was 8 lbs with the largest being around 30 which was the flathead. also caught 2 gar one maybe 7 lbs and 1 around 20. water ran very little at times heaviest flow was early sun morning but wasnt enough to amount to much. all fish was caught on cut carp had no hits on live carp or gizzard shad.

I've thought about fish down through there but haven't done it yet. Did you see much wildlife?
