Wateree River 2/21/09

    Much better trip this time. No major incidents to report. Only had nightcrawlers and managed 3 white perch which were caught to late in the trip to turn them into cutbait.

    Hey Harper glad this trip was better than the last one. If you are putting in at the 76/378 bridge, if you go upriver about 15-20 minutes, you'll hit Spears Creek where it empties into the Wateree River. There is some really good bream and catfishing right there. You'll see the creek on the left bank right where a big curve is. Fish at the mouth of it and all around there and you'll catch some good fish.
