Well Dean was looking for a report from Wateree so here is what I can give ya from our pre fishing trip today:
Team Green converged on Lake Wateree today for some prefishing for the Carolina Catfish Club Tourney on Dec. 12th,water conditions were very stained to muddy from one end to the other, current was flowing just about all day long, water temp was 44-46 degrees and a slight breeze most of the day.We started about 9am and fished till 3pm,18 fish caught total,16 blues and 2 channels, anchor bite and drift bite were about 50/50 on fish caught. We fished from the dam to 3/4 lake and fish were caught at every stop and every drift,we did pick up on 2 patterns that seemed to work over others but surely that will change before next weekend{hopefully not},caught quite a few in 8-12 lb range with big fish of the day being 16.6,not a winning striger weight but a fairly good day on the water considering we havent been on Wateree since the Sept. Catawba Tourney.Preferred bait was fish:big_smile::eek:oooh::crazy:by the way Dean:wink:
See you guys Saturday,Looking forward to it.

I know, i was just joking around. Wanted to get folks spirit stirred up.
I uncovered my boat, loaded it up and was going fishn but figured i would wait till tomorrow so i would have a little more time. Man, i got the fever, bad and here i have a Doc's app. Wed. for a much needed operation on my other shoulder (replacement) and trying to figure how i'm going to get them to wait till next week so i can fish the tournament:big_smile: maybe fake a small cold (cough cough) or put it off again:eek:oooh: oh well, it will work out somehow.

I think my water temp on the Lowrance is'nt right.44 to 45 degree is awful cold,I think it is more like 55 to 57 degrees.I might need another Christmas present:big_smile:

Gotta watch out for some of that propaganda the week of tourney. I thought we musta got alot of fresh water from the mountains to get to 44.
Jeff-are you trying to mess up people's strategy? Maybe a little mis-information?

Sunbird, I think you have to read the previous posts for that post of mine to make sense.

I posted a more complete fishing report in another thread.
