About to turn on my tankless heater, finally lol. Any body have any experience with sediment filters? Theyre recommended by the manuf. and it seems to make sense.

I have used the canister type before. The ones where the water line enters on one side of the cap and comes out on the other, and you just unscrew the canister to change the filter. I suggest hooking two up with about a 5 inch piece of pipe between them, that way you can use a coarser filter in the first one to catch the bigger junk and then a fine filter in the second one to catch the rest. Doing it this way seems to help from decreasing your water pressure too much.

Want your water really clean? Use a carbon filter as a 3'rd.
