My step-son recently came back from a trip to Ohio River. Told me a story about hook a log. It started taking out his line, he set the hook, started fighting the fish in, and then it just up and stopped. Wouldn't move at all. I know his gear was addequate for any fish because he had borrowed mine. To continue, he would allow some slack line and the fish would swim off. He would once again start bringing it in and then it would up and stop again. After about three times of doing ths, he thought he had a log, so he just brike his line. I think he had a big flattie on the other end. I told him that the big flat's will bottom out sometimes and it will feel like a log. Doea anyone else agreed with me? Any do you have any tips on how to handle this situation?
