Hey I was wondering if there are any generous BOC members here on the Mo or the IL side that wouldn't mind taking 1-2 people with them on a fishing trip on one of the big rivers? I don't have a boat or access to one and I really want to get out on a boat for some big cats, because I haven't caught any trophy cats yet and what to give it a shot. I have been bank fishing for many years now and have never had any luck for a nice trophy cat yet. So in the June time frame is anybody going out onto a big river (on a boat and have room for a 1-2 people)? I have plenty of gear and would be up for chipping in on gas for the boat, bring some refreshments, food, etc. So if anyone is interested please post here and let me know. Thanks!

Josh, I'd say just keep your eyes open for people fishing. Most members announce when they are hitting the river and if they want company. Gateway Cats does a Dollar tournament usually about once a month and that would be announced in the Missouri section as well as the Gateway Cats section (under partners in catfishing here on the BOC). Hopefully by June the rivers will be back in their banks which will get most of us out and about. Personally I'm not real big on hitting the rivers when the wing dykes are covered. Anyway, when we have these get togethers we always try to find a seat for anyone interested in spending the day or night chasing fish on the river.

It's a great club Josh.. Not all of us in it have boats, but we don't have any trouble finding a boat to fish out of.. It's just a bunch of good old boys having a good time.. Except for Bob that is, he doesn't always know where he's at... hehehe... And then there's Randy, he knows where he's at he's just not real sure how he got there.. And I can't leave out Jason.. He always talks about these giant fish that he catches, but he always forgets to take the camera... hehehe.. You would fit right in , in no time at all...

Everything I have read about the club has been good information. And I will be joining up and look forward to meeting all of you at the meeting in June. I am coming home from a deployment, the end of May or else I would be at the May meeting. Sounds like a good group of guys/gals and it will be a lot of fun fishing with you guys!

Patrick has a boat, but does not have a truck to pull it with. I think he is over your way.

I know I'm on the wrong side of the state but if you're ever in the Kansas City area I'll take you out on the Missouri or the Kaw. I sometimes have a hard time finding somebody to go with and my wife doesn't like me to go out on the Missouri alone. Makes sense to me if you fall out of the boat you'll be downstream 100 yards in a heartbeat. I do wear the life jacket all the time there. If you're ever gonna be in K C gimme a pm. I'm kind of a channel cat specialist this is my first season trying for blues and flatheads in the rivers. Eric
