At wally's' they have a hook called WIDE GAP.Is this the same hook as a circle hook.thanks,Mike
NO a circle hook is where the point is perpendicular to the hook shaft, where if the hook point kept going it would touch the hook shaft,
they sell eagle claw circle hooks at wally world, i have gotten mine there
also the wide gaps are like kahle style hooks
Hope This Helps
The one thing that is consistent about all hooks is that there is no ryhme or reason between the size and the shape.
Some circles are curved much more than others. Some have a wider gap between the tip and the shank. It is tough to change from one brand to another.
I use Gamakatsu Octopus Circles. They are the best hook I have come across so far. They are more expensive than others, but they work.
I am wanting to try out some others, so if anyone has any recommendations please let me know.
