Was at Wal-mart and they had the LAKER 10' casting nets for $5:crazy:. I went thru 2 last year so i bought what they had (4 for the price of 1). Just thought id post it here because talking to the sporting goods guy they are discontinuing carrying this type of casting net and going to replace it with another. so they might be discounted in your area also!

I wish someone would pick me up a couple. Our walmarts in North Mo. suck.
The way I go through nets I would like to stock up on nets for 5 bucks.

I hope they are not getting them in that Renegade brand. Everything I have bought of Renegade form Wally World has broken the first time out on the water.

Hope I didn't find this thread too late. I could use some expendable nets I wouldn't mind losing in some risky places when bait is scarce

i got a couple of the 5 footers, we can't throw anything above 8 foot in tx freshwater. these are actually pretty decent nets. i always passed them by because the package looked like those 'lead free' nets with the steel weights. those are pieces of crap, but the lead weighted nets are well made, and even better for 5$!

man I recently got one of the new nets from wal mart, the weights aren't as heavy and it takes a lot longer to sink. I also broke a line on it without even snagging it on anything.

I will pass by 4 walmarts tomorrow on my way home. I will stop at all of them to see if this net sale is still on. I had been buying every ugly stick cat rod they put out too. They had been from $15-21 for each. I have about a 1/4 mile of ugly sticks at the house. Don't know why I need that many, but you never know.
