Has anybody started catching any walleye yet on the Mississippi. It's been kinda' warm and I don't know if the water temp has lowered enough yet for them to stack up?

Haven’t talked with the folks I know that fishes em hard all winter, but do know they won’t be out there with the water level changing like it has… I’ll keep my ears open Mark and let ya know if I hear anything… last year was a bad here on the pool due the crazy water levels, some folks that went up to Severton, Quincy and Canton did good and it was this time in November that the bite started up there… Guess the water is telling us to head north again :eek:oooh::smile2:

with MTL not expected to crest for another 5 days, I don't forsee these lower pools to be normal anytime soon. I know the Des Moines river is rocking and rolling right now too so who knows when we'll see some stable levels.

Thanks Mike, I'm kinda' looking forward to getting out there this winter to see if I can put a few Walleye in the fryer.
