This is what happens when the flatheads aren't biting, I have to bass fish!

Fished my favorite hole in downtown PHILADELPHIA. Started the night off with a nice 20 inch
walleye. While unhooking her, she flopped around and both sets of hooks went into my plug went into my hand. I managed to get one set of hooks out, but the other was in DEEP and unfortunately, past the barb. I yanked on it, but it was too deep. I didn't feel like going to the ER so I had my friend push the point through the skin and cut the barb. Amazingly, I did not feel a thing. My adreneline was still pumping from seeing all this and landing a nice walleye. I wasn't gonna let something like this shorten my night so I washed it off and continued to fish. Ended with a 2.8lb river bass which is nice for my river and a 4.2lb hybrid striper.

Enjoy the pic and story guys, it all for you!

happens to others too. I was hooked in the hand by a rapalla and went to pull out but the second set sank in as the first was yanked out. I cut the hooks off before trying again..

keep catchin the fish and not yuourself..

way to tough it out...hope it heals ok. It's always nice to fish a body of water that you can catch multiple species like that...and some nice ones at that!
