Anyone ever use/have luck with preserved shad that Wal-Mart sells? I used some my daughter bought me at a local lake that has big cats in it and didn't have a bite.

all the oils and blood are removed from the preserved shad, i would rather use frozens shad that has been in the frezzer for 10 years than that junk.

It attracts the fisherman , not the fish. Junk.

Don’t waste your time using them. I have a couple of yellowbelly/bullheads in my koi pond. I bought some wal-mart shad to feed them and they wouldn’t touch them.

The bait shop gave me some to try. I did and then threw it in the trash.

Everytime I see it in there I almost buy some. Then I think, well it probably won't work.

I never had any luck with it. It seems that that's the consensus with everyone on this site...not a single person with even a bite. That's funny.
