Jeff - are you the guy I talked to a couple weeks ago that was fishing on the old boat ramp at Wakefield?

Anyway I see a lot of people fishing from the bank at Wakefield but I really have never seen anyone catch anything there. But I am only around long enough to throw the net a couple times and load and unload the boat.

I know there are fish not far from there in every direction and when I come in at night (or morning) there are plenty of fish on the graph as I motor to the dock. I think once the shad hatch occurs the bite would be pretty good at night there. There are always YOY shad all around there after the hatch and I would think the cats would be in there feeding on them.

Jeff, I think you'll have better luck on the end of the breakwater to the right of the boatramp(new). I've seen folks pull some nice Cats in from there.

Uh, Jeff? Can a guy be truly electronics illiterate in a modern army? Must
have a MOS that translates into "he who kicks in doors" or "tests mines
with big hammer". C'mon! You couldn't be as ignant as little ol' me?

Way to go on the fish! Getting the wife to come along scores extra points!

Very nice Jeff. When the river comes up and there is current flowing under the bridge at Wakefield, it is hang on to your poles time. The fishing should stay pretty good there as long as the current stays.

Jay, river's still running pretty good 960 tonight, but they're only letting 25 out, that'll slow the current down up by Wakefield. Just looked, the lakes up to 1145.53, so we should be able to get up the river now, even with the Catoon. Hopefully when that 6500 was coming down the river it washed that sandbar across the mouth out some.

I think that sand bar is gone Jim. Along with a whole bunch of the logs and trees that were there. I only seen two sticking up out of the water at the entrance. I came out of there up on plane and didn't hit anything (thankfully).
