went out with Lucky yesterday bout 1 pm. first hit where Shunga Creek dumps into the Kaw, NOTHIN. Headed to a spot on the Wakie where there is a bunch of state signs but cant remember the road, NOTHIN. Ended up on 100 rd across from the ramp on the Wakie. We got down in there to find a guy & 2 youts (My Cousin Vinny, lol) already there. They left after about an hour and got 3 nice eater size channels 3-5 lb. range. After they left Lucky caught a couple in the 2-4 lb. range and hours later I finally got me one about 5 lb. After cleanin em i opened their stomaches and all 3 were PACKED with crawlers. the smallest had AT LEAST 1 1/2 - 2 doz. crawlers in it. Lucky caught his 2 on crawlers and I got mine on a piece of 4 day old sittin in the back of the truck piece of shad. For the last 20 min or so before we left i put on a fresh killed leopard frog but didnt get any action before we pulled out. You can see by the pics they are eatin good. They look kinda like some KS members, :smile2:. Lucky caught more but I got the biggest :cool2:

Man those are some seriously fat fish! I bet they would weigh half as much without the bellies full of nightcrawlers. LOL

THATS THE BIG DOWN FALL TO ALL THIS RAIN - THE FISH WILL BE STUFFED SO FULL IT'LL MAKE FISHING HARD FOR A WEEK OR TWO:sad2: OH WELL AT LEAST THE RESEVIORS WILL BE FULL ENOUGH TO LET WATER OUT LONG ENOUGH TO GET THE BIG FLATS BELOW THEM THIS SPRING - IF WE COULD JUST GET A WEEK OR TWO OF 75 DEGREE WEATHER IT'LL BE TIME TO DO SOME JIG FISHING:wink:

Kinda touchy there, Jay? Believe me, you are barely started on being fat.
Generally, it's a long slow process unless you like eating lots of worms just
because somebody else might get them. Choose wisely.
