The Wabash at Terre Haute crested at 21.7' yesterday.
has the walbash got blues in it, up around terre haute? or just flatheads
The lil blue on my avitar came from the Wabash south of Terre Haute near Merom. Seems to be a pretty healthy population.
akwa i,ve caught blues and channels in the wabash up as far as covington . if that helps you catch most of my flats from clinton north though
I have caught some nice blues and flats all the way up to Lodi on the Wabash. Caught a 54lber around Clinton and a 52 around Merom.

never fished the bash, but dien to try it. do u have any advise where to go? is the water over the banks there ? thanks 4 any advise.
For a first timer, the area around Terre Haute (upstream) is excellent!! Lots of blues and flats (and big monster asian carp) in that stretch. Fish outside bends and deep holes. And yeah...the river is off the hook right now.
how deep is the wabash up in that area? the only places i have been on the wabash were really shallow..
If you go north from the boat ramp (Fairbanks Park?) the area around the tressels is anywhere between 25-40 foot deep. Up around the bend to the left there is some 25-35 foot water on the outside of the bend. there is plenty of deep water and you can pretty much run your boat full bore. BigA - The area down by you IS really shallow. Last year I couldnt find anything over 9 foot deep just north of where the Ohio and Wabash merge. Hope this helps y'all...catch a biggun!!
