I just got back from the river and had a fun trip with BOC member "fullstringer" and a friend. We found a nice hole with lots of woody debris but only managed to land 2 FHC (7 & 11 pounds) and a soft shell turtle. We had some pretty nice runs but couldn't hook up with everything.

I should have a pic or two pretty soon.

Great night to be on the water!

Matt thanks for a great night. Even though we got a little wet it was still worth it. I'll get those pics up as soon as I can.

Good spot, yes...good spot to frequent, no! LOL! I'm not sure I want to put my brand new motor through that abuse too often! I would be replacing a prop every other trip. Actually there was really only one bad spot on the way up...which turn into a bad spot on the way back down at 2am. We took on a little water do to some poor night vision, fast current, and that one stinkin' log! Oh, and to answer a frequent question from the "Boat Modification" forum: DON'T remove the foam under you jon boat's seats & deck. You're boat, full of water, will still float with 3 adults, 3 tackle bags, 2 anchors, a gas tank, a motor, and a bag of soggy sunflower seeds

Hey guys here is a pic of our fish, and I think I managed to save the sunflower seeds I'll bring them along on our next excursion, along with a chainsaw.:smile2: We'll take care of that log for sure. Ohh, and by the way my boots still aren't dry after 16hrs on the dryer and I gotta where them to work in about 10min. What we do for these dang fish UNBELIEVABLE!

LOL! That chainsaw might not be a bad idea...make that riffle a lot easier to get through...a bulldozer to make it a little deeper would be nice too!

Went back out today & fished from about 3pm to 6:30pm. The river was on its way back down after the last few days of rain. We had live & cut gills out there but ended up getting skunked. As always, nice day to be on the river.
