This Sunday, April 22nd, there will be a gathering of people at the Maumee River to pick up trash along its banks. Last year 60 people showed up. For anyone interested in helping, bring muddin shoes, gloves, and garbage bags to Niagara Drive at 11am on Sunday. The organizer, Abigail Frost, will hand out some supplies there. If you can't make it there at 11 a.m., just show up at the Maumee River. We'll start at the Hosey Dam on Anthony and work our way downstream from there. We will also plant seeds of flood resistant plants for erosion control. Also checkout www.savemaumee.org

Thanks for the heads-up Gary. Nice to know there's some action being taken. If my daughter wasn't having her birthday party on Sunday I would probably make it over. Thanks also for the link.
