Visiting the East Coast

    I will be in Naggs head From August the 17-24th, are there any good guides and/or BOC brotheren that might can show me a good time.



    Help Please.

    August is in what we call the summer doldrums.
    The fishing on the coast is usually sluggish unless you are venturing offshore.
    However I dont go anywhere near a beach without fishing tackle.

    I'd be hanging out on the catwalk under the Bonner bridge or surf fishing along the mouth of the inlet.
    Sometimes you can run across sandbars in those inlets. You leave the tackle on the beach and wade out to the bar with a fishing rod and sand spike and a few pieces of cut bait.

    Blues, flounder, some pompano and maybe a trout or two is what I would be after.
    At night I would be chasing the big red drum in the dark. No lights.

    Is the water in inlet salt or Fresh water, I'll be chasing them blues.
