    Hello,
I'll be in KY late in September for a few days and I would really like to wet a line while I'm there.
I'll be staying in Florence, actually.
What is my best bet, a pay lake? The riverbank?

If anyone who knows the area has a suggestion, I'd appreciate it a lot.
    Thanks in advance,
    Tony

Tony, I don't know that area well, since I'm aways down river, but I do know that Meldahl dam is a good place to bank fish. I have been there a couple of times. It is not real far from Florence. It is a little hard to find, the best way that I can explain it is for you to get a good map that shows it and find it that way. The road leading off the highway to it isn't much. It just looks like a gravel drive going over railroad tracks. Vern

How long are you going to be here? i have heard that fishing below the Mike Fink resturant on the new port river bank side and fishing the mouth of the licking is a good spot and any dam markland and meldaw are both good place to.the pay lakes around here are not that great because they feed their fish
