That should be Virginia I think we now have enough folks from the Commonwealth(Marylanders are welcomed too) to have a gathering. Anybody want to suggest a date and place?

I would be interested in a gathering.

The James or Buggs Island would provide the best fishing IMO.

I'll be watching this thread. I will come over if the timing is right. I have a brother over there for several more months and he loves to cat fish.

I've been there quite a few times. I wouldn't take a boat out on that stretch. There are tons of rocks. Our canoe got hung up alot.

    That area is smallmouth territory.

Would a gathering in July on the James work for everyone? I know July is one of the better months for blues on the James. July 21 is a Saturday, or we can plan to have it a week later on the 28th.

If done in July, the bite is generally during the night.

Ya, that is the only draw back, but maybe we can do it in the late afternoon.

May is not that good of a month because of the spawn, right? How is June?

Nothing wrong with night fishing. That,s the way we do it here during july and august, daytime is to hot to enjoy.

Well I tried to put one together last year for Maryland and got no takers. But was holding it doing our two day tournament as well. July 21 would work for me but it can be hotter than you know what. I will watch and se what you guys can come up with if i'm open the weekend count me in.
