Andrew from Willimasburg. I just joined this site yesterday, previously chated on the Jamesrivercats.com site until the forum was shut down. I fish the James River, primarily the lower James. I started fishing for cats this past July. PB is a 15lb 32" Blue which was bested by my 5 year old son reeling in a 40lb 41.5" blue!! I am hooked to catfishing now!
Live in mechanicsville havent done alot of fishing out here yet still trying to figure out good spots that can be fished from the bank went to pony pasture yesterday with the wife but had no clue where to fish! Any suggestions would be great especially places i can take my kids for smaller 1-5# cats so the can experience the thrill
J_Carter, unfortunately not. Last year was a down year for me. Most of the cats I caught were pretty small. I'm hoping this year will be better. I don't have a boat though, so I'm fishing from docks, boat ramps, and banks.
