Hey everyone.. Im new here and the tips and info are GREAT!.

I think it might be a little bit early to start fishing for flatheads and yes im a noob at it as ive never caught them. But i want to take my brother in law out and its a 2 1/2 hr drive to lake roosevelt. This is my plan.. I plan to buy some Waterdogs (backup) some worms for bluegills and some anchovies to catch some channels. If I dont catch and bluegills, has anyone ever had success with waterdogs?? or should i buy like live bait fish from the local bait shop?? Im just really ready to catch some fish and be out fishing.. its what I love. Any tips from local AZ anglers appreciated thanks

    Dave

Welcome to the BOC where everyone can agree on catfishing, but not politics!

If you can't catch bluegills but catch channels, use the channel!!. You might get a big one:cool2:

But if you can get bluegills, stick with them.

Your bluegill, either small or cut will be better channel bait than anchovies. So are live waterdogs.
