Theres a guy thatput out an article stating that St.Louis was the most dangerious city and that Detriot was #2. They just interviewed him on Channel 4 news and he said that there is nothing to it.all a hoax.Said he just grabs a bunch on numbers and comples a list. So relax folks St.Louis isn't as bad as some people try to make it to be.
Just in case anyone was interested.

I didn't feel unsafe in St. Louis when I was there a few years (8-10) back. The only place I have ever felt unsafe was in downtown Philly. the company I worked for had armed security guarding our eqipment at night and us during the day. We were setting up pharmacies and had a ton of meds out from OTC to ClassIV controled so you can see the reason for caution. Anyway if we worked past dark are would not make it back to the hotel before dark guess who escorted us back to the hotel, yep armed security. We were told that it was not safe to be outside after are before dark. Nothing ever happened but with all the security around it sure made you wonder how bad it could have really been.

And you feel safe in Chapel Hill?
Have you seen the lady with the blue and pink rubber dolphin and whale bathtub toys glued all over her car? along with some indoor outdoor carpet and some barbie dolls?
I would be absolutely terrified to live in the same town.

All cities have dangerous areas, at least for some people. Crime statistics that don't take into account where the crime is taking place in the city and who the victims are, as well as the caught and convicted perps isn't worth much.

I always thought Memphis was a lot more dangerious than St.Louis.Memphis is the only city where I've had someone try to break into my motel room.A guard ran the badguy off but I was in no danger because I was sitting up in bed with a handgun waiting on him.

I was really dissapointed when Camden N.J a meer 2 miles up the road was dropped from the top spot. LOL! In its case though its possible. The city is a toilet that needs to be flushed or an air strike called in on it.

I spent the night in St. Louis one time back in the late 80's while I was driving a truck?
I pulled into St. Louis on Sunday and couldn't unload until Monday.
I found the place where I would be unloading Monday and parked the truck, it was around 7 pm.
Since it was early, I decided to take a walk down to the river and see the Arch and places along the river.

I headed back around 1 or 1:30 am and met a lot of people along they way and they all seemed pretty friendly when I would say hi and I didn't have any problem or even feel nervous walking the streets that night?

Monday while they were unloading my truck, I got to talking to some of the workers and told them that I had slept in the truck and they told me that I was crazy for doing it? They said that was the worst area in St. Louis (at that time) and they were surprised I wasn't killed or robbed that night?

I don't know if I just happened to be there on a good night or what, but it didn't seem that bad and I had a good time while I was there?

I don't know how much it's changed since then, but I think I would feel safer there then I would in Tulsa at night or day?

right! most of the time the drug dealers and other criminals are the ones getting killed and that is all right by me. Law respecting citizens do not for the most part become statistics.

Thats ok Dayton .however I do believe that that is the same outfit that I was talking about. The one who said it was all a hoax. Someone who does those thing just to get people riled and scared to go somewhere needs thier head checked. Thier not running on all cycinders.
