Last that I was down there was Saturday and they were in there pretty thick
yea im am coming down 28th but they are calling for 1.5 inches of rain and i didnt want to waste a trip going down and skippys arent biting.
I took my little girl down there Sunday and they were still in there thick. She was catching doubles on almost every cast. I didn't even fish because she was catching so many.
yea butim wanting someone to give me a weather update as it gets close to the 28th when i come down
I will try and let you know something closer to the 28th. It just came a gully washer here at the house.
Jim I am approx 80 mi. south of C City.Local forecast is calling for warmer temps and rain next few days with possible severe storms Sat the 27th.Jon is considerably closer than me but somebody will let you know closer to weekend. Are you planning to travel Sunday and fish Monday the 28th?It rained like who'd a thought it here today also.

Jim you may be in luck.My local 5:00 pm forecast is saying clear, sunshine, and mid fifties for Monday the 29th.If they're still biting should be a great day.If that forecast holds.?????

goodluck to you jim.. hope the weather pans out and ou get a bunch of skippies.. If you need an extra freezer to put em in ,give me a call:roll_eyes: rollo
only time i could use them is if i go with you on the fiver cant catch anything on them at salt fork
i heard they arent in the discharge today so you might want to ask around before you leave to head down there....
thats why i dont want to make a 7hr drive turn around and come home. thanks
the water was muddy and the skipjack werent in there yesterday. no one was catching them. maybe the water will clear up some and help
Bad Skipjack day... I wouldn't drive down.. We caught 6 small ones in 45 minutes today. Everyone was struggling.
thinking about waiting till the the 28th to leave then get there the 29th things might get better by then. im not wanting to take 150 home with me just 15 or so. im off till jan 5th looking for something to do. took all xmas decorations down today i dont have to worry about that.
They are calling for a lil more rain tonight and tomorrow morning. We went Crappie fishing Friday and even though the water was up and muddy, we still caught 18 keepers. The river was just too full of trash and floating logs to try and catfish. I guess it's a toss up as to the skippies being in there.
any skippys caught today? wanting to leave tonight or monday morning
