Unknown Fish

    Hello fellow fishermen. i got a unknow fish in my castnet. I think i have attached a gif of it. Any help would be nice. It was caught on the Ohio River near Aberdeen OH. I think it is a muskie but not sure because it is so small. if it is that is the biggest muskie i have ever caught. LOL

    that is a log pearch i think they are common in the tenn river system and up north they are great to eat how long was it was it a minnow or a fish sized fry later it is a perch of some sort if not a log pearch Ricky AKA capt skibo

    Definatley a log perch, cool to see one. It's been a long time since I've seen one. They are in the same family as darters, but get much bigger. I've never seen a big one, but have read that they get like 7" long and can be caught on rod and reel. I've always just caught smaller ones netting.

    yep that is a green log perch.also known as a zebra minnow.stone roller or a rock rooter.depending on what part of arkansas or oklahoma your in.

    I caught one of those one time but didn't know what it was. I used it for bait but didn't catch anything
