Aqua view is amazing! Used it a few times you can get it on e bay for like $100 or $160 at sportmans right now 1/2 off the normal price. I love it its amazing seeing the fish in their surroundings unlike on a fish finder where you just see figures not the fish. You can spot the fish see what kind of fish and the size!

Have heard mixed reviews on the underwater camera's. For the most part it isn't the camera that is actually getting the bad view, but the cloudy or murky water that it has been used it. A lot of the views I've seen were pretty awesome when the water was clear. Neat little gadget to play around with for sure. Definitely can open up your world. Specially in the winter for scouting some waters and structure.

I have thought of an underwater camera for Roosevelt. Lonny who has scuba dived in Roosevelt doesn't believe it would be very effective for distance but would be anxious to hear about cameras and Roosevelt Lake. There is always one more thing you need!

Part of my masters work was using an underwater camera to document Yellow Perch spawning on Lake Michigan. I used a HD color Splashcam to record spawning activity. The camera and recording system cost about $3,000 which included a GPS unit. The camera was awesome and took great video on the lake. I tried it out on the Ohio River last week and wasn't very impressed. The water clarity killed the image. I am going to work with the settings next time and see if I can get it to record a better picture. As for scaring the fish I found just the oppisite. Many times had smallmouth, perch, and alewife's come right up to the camera and check it out.

got a friend that uses one every trip. fun to watch the screen. one night he was out with it and F&G came up on him. asked to check his license. he had two poles out for cats, but had the two pole stamp so good there. then they asked him what was the line over side of boat attached to the barbie pole? bill told them it was the bait attracter to get fish up to the underwater camera so he could watch them. asked him to pull it up. he reeled in the barbie pole and it had (either liver or shrimp) on it. but it had a hook on line also. uh oh!! ticket. three poles and no slack. cost him i believe he said over 250.00 in fine. judge and F&G both told him to just tie the bait on. lesson learned.
so buy the camera, but be careful.

That is Bologna. I fish with four poles, two for me, and two for son. I even had to buy my son's fishing license, with two pole stamp, even though he can fish for free. The Game and Fish, said I had to buy him a youth license, and two pole stamp to get the two pole stamp benefits for him, even though he is nine, and can fish for free. The other thing is cool, he gets full limit privledges just like me, instead of half limits. I only own four Catfish poles anyways.

No, my Tuna rods are my my catfish rods! I have two boat rods 5 foot 8 inches. a red and black walmart pole, and my blue and black one. My other one has been out of commission cause the tip is smashed on it.
