    I've never used one on a river in Indiana, but from my experience I think you would be hard pressed to get picks that clear in a river around here. I'm not saying you couldn't, I think it would be tough. In some smaller streams probably, but a bigger river like the Ohio or Wabash...I don't know.

    Welcome to the BOC! I have never used one, but i am considering buying one. Primarily for education purposes. I am interested to see what people have to say. Thanks starting the post.

    I know some guys who bought one for using in the lakes up north here and like them. Especially in the winter while ice fishing. I think in the rivers the sediment will probably be a limiting factor. I bet someone has used one on a river though. drpepper, you may want to post the question in a forum other than the Indiana section. You might get a better response.
