OK guys and gals I finally quit being cheap and ordered a Ugly Stick Tiger 7 foot MH rod. The choice was easy given all the good comments offered by this group of fine fisherpeople. Next rod will be a Gator. I will be putting a brand new Abu 6000 on it spooled with 30 lb solar green.

Well If you stop and think about it all the rods you would have to buy in the next 5 years would be more then the cost of the tiger.

I have 4 of them personally two of them 6' 6" and two 7' They hold up very very good. And are great for flats and big blues.

Well good luck whenever you use it.

You just got a fine rod, I prefer the miedium action because the m/h is a broom stick in the tip, but still a fine rod.

I just ordered it I went with the MH for use as a boat rod fishing nearshore so it is going to serve dual purpose.

I have two of them and love them both plus I'm gonna pick up another one soon. I ordered a Daiwa AccuDepth 57 so I need a good rod.

The 6000 is big enough for the catfish I have been getting into, I do have a 7000 that I use for nearshore fishig.

Tiger rods are about the best out there STILL!!!! It would be hard to even beat them with custom poles.

Fellow members I Just purchased a penn 320 gt2 and was thinking about buying a tiger rod for it. I have a question!

I was at the shapespeare site checking out there tiger rods. I noticed that the casting models come with the trigger and without. Is all casting models made for baitcaster? With and without the trigger.

    Thanks!
