Who has heard of these & is it true that they are an extremely hard (rare) rod to find?

If anyone knows of this rod, please tell me what you think of it.

While not a Tiger Rod, the Shakespeare Big Water Boat Rod lineup includes some rods that seem to be made on the same blank as the Tiger Rod. The BWB 1140 has the same backbone, reel seat, and stiffness as a MH Tiger, and The differences are that it's black, uses inserts in the eyelets, and has 1 or 2 less eyelets. I've got both, and IMO, they are the same rod except for the eyelets.

I'm not sure about an actual black Tiger Rod, but I wonder if the Big Water Boat might be what they were talking about?

I'd sure be curious of anything you find out about it from the seller - when and where they were originally sold, etc. I've never heard of one before, but it looks good.

It looks pretty sweet. Can't say I've ever heard of that before, but good on the eyes never the less. I'll try and find these online when I'm not busy. It'll be a productive few hours, make my time go by faster. Thanks

I went to the berkley outlet today they had rods with that tuna logo on them but I don't think I've seen an ugly stick there, ever. I don't know that it means much they make rods for a ton of different names.

They did have a gross of 200# cross lock snap swivels for $5. I bought a lifetime's worth:roll_eyes:

I looked at the pictures that guy is just terrible at describing items. There is and Uglystick and there is a black rod and then he ran out of room for a description. There are black uglystick spinning rods and that might be what that one is. He has kinda low feedback and $30 shipping that you can't get refunded for if there is a problem. Btw I just got a 12' rod in a 6' tube last week and shipping was $10.

Btw nice fish this week mellon.
