I had the middle eye break off my rod it was like a tape looking like stuff. Just a cheap rod. I was wondering what do you put on the string after you tie the eye on? I have heard that finger nail polish works good? works like a glue. will this work? Just need something to coat the string to keep it from coming loose or unwrapping.

I heard low temp hot glue because its stays flexable.

I use a 20 minute clear epoxy (hardware store) I wrap the guide in to place with a little thread, then with a very small brush I cover the thread thats on the rod with some epoxy, then I wrap a good amount of thread over top of the epoxy and brush off the excess epoxy. Not a pro job but it works for me.
