Sorry to hear that, seems weird that they locked this early. Must of been sparing and one got a little upset.

Thats pretty sharp, yet a shame. Would look real nice as a mount though. I had noticed a little pre-rut activity on my game cams here lately, but didn't think they were really into it that much yet. Thanks for the pics.

The bucks have split up in northern Mo. and chasing the does. Me thinks the rut is going to be a little early this year.

Wow! Pretty suprising that they are fightin' this early, usually it is just the pretty young ones that can't control themselves this early. But with the seasons being as messed up this year as they are, it really shouldn't be a suprise that they may get after it early. Anywho - Thanks for postin' the pics and can't wait to see the pics of them mounted.

Our farm's up there south of Polo a few, and I've seen them feignting each other a bit, but not really fighting yet. Heck I even caught a spike still in velvet 2 weeks ago. I still need a few more leaves to fall at least 20 more degrees less to enjoy hunting. Maybe these two bucks were actually gunning for the same catfish and got into a tangle over that.

Hate to see 2 bucks end of up like that,:embarassed: but then, Mother Nature is a "mean ole bi---"! But it should make a really great mount. Be sure to post pictures once it's done.

Man, that is sad. That is 2 very nice deer. It is bad that they had to suffer, 1st of all. Second, they sure would have been nice table fair and not bad wall mounts, either.

Thanks for the pics, I read an article about deer rutting, it said the moon has more to do with it than the temps. It should be in full swing about the time I plan to hunt this year according to the charts but animals have their own time tables. Too bad 2 nice bucks won't be around this year.
