Chad and I wanted to scout a new place out at our local lake. It was choked with timber and the water was up. So we set a few small trot lines, used all live green perch and left them over night. Came back in the morning and caught these two females. They were full of eggs and both way over 30 pounds so we snapped photos and released them. It was fun for the kids to watch the catch and the release.

Thanks Kyle. Would have really loved to catch them on rod/reel, but just didn't have any time at all. I will be going back there after the spawn winds down and give it heck with the r/r's.

JJ, I tried that one time with a big one I caught about 3 years ago, and my Wife had a little fit. I have a telephone pole in my front yard. Wouldn't that of just chapped all the johnson county rich folks hides??
