trying to catch eel's - Eel Pots?

    going to try to catch some eel's around snead's ferry n.c. this year and just wondering if right now is a good time to start.saw alot last summer there while gigging flounder,but it was later in the year.i have bought some eel pot's and want to set them out but really don't know if i would be wasting my time right now or not.any info would be a big help if anyone know's.i'm new at this and need all the help i can get.thank's!!

    try setting a few where u saw them last year ,that ,ll let u know the quickes way i can think of ,by the way welcome to the BOC,i,m from wilm.

    i catfish with eel's,great bait if you haven't tried them.they will catch blue's flat's and channels.my pb was a 38lb blue last year on a piece of eel.

    Thanks for the info. Here in Missouri we catch one every once in a while and throw it out on the bank. Next time I catch one I'll give it a try.

    Its been 10 yrs or more since I caught an eel here in Oklahoma. With all the dams we don't get many.
