I am new to this cat fishing, will the high water cause them to feed in the grass areas?

With the high water its hard to say where they will be, best I can tell you is just keep trying until you find them. One thing that hurts also is that they are starting to spawn so they wont be near as active as usual, some are spawning, some are not. I would guess that Truman will see 720 or so, depends on when they start running water below the dam and how much they run. Chris

Here are a few links to the rivers feeding Truman, there are more but these are a few main ones: Marias Des Cygnes at State Line, feeds the Osage: http://waterdata.usgs.gov/mo/nwis/uv/?site_no=06916600&PARAmeter_cd=00065,63160,00060

Osage at Shell City close to Osceola: http://waterdata.usgs.gov/mo/nwis/uv/?site_no=06918070&PARAmeter_cd=00065,63160,00060

    Grand River near Clinton: http://waterdata.usgs.gov/mo/nwis/uv/?site_no=06921760&PARAmeter_cd=00065,63160,00060

Pomme de Terre River below Pomme de Terre Lake: http://waterdata.usgs.gov/mo/nwis/uv/?site_no=06921350&PARAmeter_cd=00065,63160,00060

These will give you and idea of how much water is coming into Truman Lake. Chris

Well, I just cleaned fish last week that still had eggs in them so its hard to say exactly how many are on the nest now, and how many have not started to nest yet. Chris
