Was wondering if someone could recommend some where near tailrace to sleep during the day Saturday? We would need air conditioner, shower and a bed.
Going to try and fish Friday , sleep during day Satuday, fish Saturday night. Drive home Sunday I may be getting to old for 2 nights, but Driveing 6 1/2 hours round trip for 1 night hits my pocket book to hard .

    Headwaters Motel 660-438-7314
    Hidden lake Motel 660-438-5106
    Lake hills Motel 660-438-5191
    Rivers end Motel 660-438-2878
    Super 8 Motel 660-438-2882
    Parkfield Inn 660-438-2474

Parkfield is the one by wal-mart and the newest and nicest. Probably more expensive though. All of them are within 5 miles or less to the dam.

You might look at Pecan Groves campgrounds also. They have cabins. I've never stayed in them but I friend of mine said they were really nice. I think they are around $60. It's about as close as you can get to the west ferry. It's just past the station.
