This is probably a simple question to someone who no’s but why does it say on the core of engineers website that Truman isn’t letting any water out? Is that for flood control reasons somewhere else?
Hoping to stay the weekend below the dam but only if they are running water.

They're not letting any water out because if they release, Bagnell dam has to release and when they release, it heads for the Missouri River just below Jefferson City. And the Missouri is already sending massive amounts of water downstream.

    It's all about flood control.
