Went fishing this weekend out on the lake because I did not want to deal with shoulder to shoulder at the dam. It looks like a few catfish have eggs in them, july is coming up and that's my favorite time to fish. Whitebass fishing till dark, then it's time to prowl for the big old catties. Well we had two trot lines out, catching about 13 fish in 2 days, nothing very big just one blue about 8 lb's rest were smaller, a pretty decent channel cat and a lot of small blues. Tried drifting flats saturday night, and sunday did not even get a bite. The water has been fairly high lately, I'm sure that's messing with the fish quite a bit. Also, who here hates those lights on the Mile Long Bridge?

thanks for the report aden glad ya got into some fish !!!!!

wheeeew the mile long bridge lights aint as bad as the lights at drake harbor or at the old swinging bridge they are way to bright and blind boaters trying to see when driving by them !!!

they need some mild solar powerd flashing lights on the old swinging bridge cables bad !!!! when the river is up a person could get killed they are so low to the water on the west side !!!

that bright light they have shining is more of a hindrance then helpfull because it so bright it blinds ya and ya cant see the low hanging cables wheeeew its very very dangerous for folks new to the area !!!

a buddy of mine seen a pontoon boat get stuck on 1 of the low hanging cables durring the daytime and had to help the folks get clear of it !!! very bad situation they was in and could of turned the boat over and people hurt !!!

when the river is up they are only above the water a couple feet at times on the west side so be carefull folks !!!

I had planned to come down today and launch at the harbor. I mighta wacked it. Storm up here dropped two trees in my yard and left a mess. Hopefully next Monday or Tuesday I can fish the flow. My PB is only 18 and I would like to top that and catch some white/hybrids.

Seems they're still letting water out, or just generating? I know they got a little more bit of rain up north and on Truman. I hope by July 4th the water will be down, there isn't much traffic at 10-3 A.M. That's when we like to go out, some good old cutbait and drift with some shad.
