On the first week of December I had two sows with seventeen little baby pigs come on a small patch in a thicket. I knew I would
only get one shot because the patch is small and in a dence thicket. A large boar had come on also and I chose to take him. Now
the strange part. We have had so much rain that the river has backed up and flooded the bottom land on our property. Last week
I saw the same two sows and they only had one pig each. I have thought about it and I have decided that the sows must have
been on high ground that finally went under and had to swim out. I believe that they each must have carried a baby in their mouths the way a momma cat or dog will do and the rest drowned. Thats all I can come up with that makes sense.
