Sounds unusual to me,I allways thought trout spawned in the early fall,Sept,Aug.

In my area of the country the trout have finished their spawn, in fact they have been done for some time now. Trout spawns are not generally affected a great deal by variations in weather as the water temps. in their habitat are generally more consistant. But the conditions in your part of the country may dictate different spawing times from our trout.

If they're stocked trout they might have eggs but are probably sterile.
A native brook trout might be spawning though.

Trout spawn in Both the spring, and the fall. The same trout may not spawn twice, but trout in general will spawn in the spring and fall.

Rainbows, brook, and cutthroat trout all spawn in Spring while browns spawn in fall.
