    Hey bro,

Try some night crawlers, small spinners, plastic trout worms. Sometimes all I use is natural bait and they will tear them up, and ill throw some artificial and can't get them to touch it.

Most trout that live in a lake migrate any where from 50 to 1000 yards or so and dont move very fast when just traveling from place to place that could be why you have good days and bad. There not like stream or river trout that stake out a rock or stump and sit waiting to ambush there food. I would just stick to what your doing and take the good with the bad. good luck
