My bilge pump quit working on me. I can cut the switch on and hear the buzz, but it won't push water out.

I know practically nothing about bilge pumps and how they operate. Do you guys have any ideas on things to troubleshoot and the likely culprit of what is going on?

Might look to see if something is stopping the impeller from turning or check to make sure it's latched down on the base. They are real simple deals. It should twist off of a base where you can see what's going on.

Sometimes ya can quick fix one with a back flush and by reversing the leads on the motor. Makes him run reverse and with some water to carry away the debris, it just might save ya diging it out.

You want that little fella working well It might just keep your seat dry someday.

    Good luck .
